Private equity has faced important qualitative changes over the past few years: deals have become smaller, there is a growing interest in SMEs and the use of leverage has decreased. At the same time, the average holding period has increased, players have become more concentrated on their portfolio companies, with a renewed interest in the creation of a real, not purely financial value. In addition, the debt crisis in Greece has cast a shadow on the whole Southern European region.

The 2012 6th annual unquote" Italia Private Equity Congress, held in English,  focused on these important issues and exposed new opportunities that have emerged in the Italian market.
